BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – UPDATE: Palm Bay Police have identified the taxi driver shot early Tuesday morning as 31-year-old Stephen Davis.

The victim worked for Call-a-Cab Inc., according to Palm Bay Police.

The incident occurred at a Walgreens located at the corner of Port Malabar Blvd and Babcock St. where  the victim was shot in the left arm and torso area multiple times.

Rescue crews transported the man to Holmes Regional Medical Center, where the man is still recovering from his injuries.

No arrests have been made and the motivation for the crime is still under investigation.

According to Karyn Barber, Community Information Coordinator for the Palm Bay Police Department, the victim was located inside his vehicle, alone with several gunshot wounds.

At this time it is unknown where the shooting took place and no crime scene has been established.

The victim, who has not been identified at this time by authorities, was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.
