BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2016 included an impressive array of outstanding individuals that were inducted last week at the Cocoa Beach Country Club.
For more than a century, athletes from Brevard County, Florida have been considered among the finest in America and their accomplishments are honored and immortalized by the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame.
Dozens of nominees were considered for the 2016 class in four categories including professional sports, college sports, high school sports and amateur sports.
Special honorary recognition was also bestowed upon individuals and teams that have made significant contributions to sports on the Space Coast.
Many local community minded businesses and individuals support the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame each year as they see it as an important way to recognize excellence and to provide inspiration and encouragement to future stars.
