FRANCE TERROR ATTACK: At Least 84 Dead, 50 Injured After Truck Rams Into Bastille Day Crowd

NICE, FRANCE (FOX NEWS) – A large truck drove into a crowd of people who had gathered for a Bastille Day fireworks show Thursday in the southern French city of Nice, killing at least 84 people and injuring 50 more, a police official said.

The official told France’s BFM TV that the driver of the truck was also dead.

Witnesses told the station that the driver fired shots into the fleeing crowd on the Promenade des Anglais, a major boulevard along the Mediterranean Sea.

Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi asked residents to stay where they were immediately following the attack.
