Florida Tech Defensive Lineman Adonis Davis Named Gulf South Conference Defensive Player Of Week

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA– Following an outstanding performance in which he wreaked havoc on the Mississippi College offense, Florida Tech defensive lineman Adonis Davis has been named the Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Davis recorded five tackles in the game, three of which came behind the line of scrimmage. The Iowa Western Community College transfer sacked Choctaw quarterbacks Sharone Wright and Walker Meadows once each and forced a pair of fumbles in the game.

West Florida quarterback Kaleb Nobles was named the GSC Offensive Player of the Week, while Argo kicker Austin Peffers was awarded the special teams honor.
Shorter quarterback Tyler Pullum pulled down the freshman of the week award.
Florida Tech returns to action on Saturday for a matchup with GSC foe Shorter in Rome, Georgia.
The game, scheduled for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff, is the GSC Game of the Week and will be broadcast on Watch ESPN and the ESPN app.
