Danilo Orsi-Dadomo records hat trick

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA–Danilo Orsi-Dadomo could only smile as he walked off the field after scoring his first hat trick as a member of the Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team.
The Titans needed someone to step up after losing the conference opener and Orsi-Dadomo did just that, leading Eastern Florida to a 4-2 win over ASA Miami at Titan Soccer Complex Saturday night.
“Everything just seemed to click,” Orsi-Dadomo said.
“We have been working hard in training and we worked on where the ball was going to drop and I was just in the right place at the right time and we got the win.”
The freshman from London scored his first goal just six minutes into the match as a nice cross left him open for the finish.
Nate Grant scored his first goal as a Titan 18 minutes later as he made a nice run, gave it to J.J. Donnelly, who gave it back and he put it in the far post to give the Titans a 2-0 lead.
Orsi-Dadomo scored again before halftime to give the Titans a 3-1 lead at the break.
His final goal came 15 minutes into the second half as the cross was perfect, he spun and buried it in the corner of the net.
“He is a great finisher, a natural-ball finisher and I have been looking for the right combination up there and he proved tonight that he needs to be on the pitch because if the ball is around the goal he is going to finish it,” Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer coach Oliver Twelvetrees said.
The win evens the Titans Region 8 record at 1-1 heading into a big week with road games at Broward College Tuesday night before hosting Daytona State College next Sunday.
“It was vital to get the win tonight but make no mistake the next games are going to be very tough and the guys are going to have to raise their games in order to go on the road and beat an unbeaten Broward team,” Twelvetrees said.
