Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Updates State-Wide Birding Trail Website
By Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission // November 23, 2016
now includes 500 additional webpages
In March, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission launched the new Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail website.
Trail users from all over Florida and the United States were excited to see this new resource and we appreciate all the kind comments we received.
Also, many of our users asked where had all the individual trail site pages from our old website gone. We realized that those pages had been an important resource for many of our users so, over the last three months, we created more than 500 additional webpages, including one webpage for each individual trail site.
Each site page includes a short description of the site, the site address (with a link to a google map), a link to the site’s trail map (where possible and still a work in progress), the site’s contact number and hours of operation, a link to our trip planning tool, and a link to the site’s eBird checklist for recent sightings etc.
We hope this new and improved feature will help our users plan their next Florida birding and wildlife viewing adventure. To access all 510 individual trail site pages please visit our website.
