BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Sunshine State Conference released its Preseason Baseball Coaches’ Poll and Florida Tech was tabbed as the fifth best team entering the 2017 season.
FIT received 38 total votes in the rankings and sits six shy of Florida Southern and Lynn who are tied for third with 44 votes.
2016 NCAA Division II National Champion Nova Southeastern is the favorite entering the season with 64 total votes and six first-place nods, while 2015 National Champion Tampa is picked to finish second with 52 total votes and three first place votes.
Saint Leo (29), Rollins (21), Barry (19) and Eckerd (8) round out spots six through nine in the poll.
