BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA (WFTV) – A 37-year-old man was fatally struck early Monday in a hit-and-run crash, the Rockledge Police Department said.

Christopher Holton was struck at about 3 a.m. while riding a bicycle along Barnes Boulevard between Murrell Road and U.S. 1, police said.

The motorist, Dylan Pasik, struck Holton from behind and then fled the crash scene, police said.

Officers said they were able to track down Pasik to a nearby neighborhood.

Witnesses told Channel 9 that they believe they spotted Pasik before he allegedly fled the crash scene. They said he appeared to be driving recklessly before the crash.

“As I got closer, I noticed he was on the wrong side of the road,” witness Angelina Dana said. “It was scary. I couldn’t believe he didn’t know he was on the wrong side of the road.”
