BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – For the fifth consecutive season, Florida Tech garnered a bid to the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championships.

With the field announced Monday, the Panthers received the No. 5 seed in the South Super Regional on May 8-10 at The Members Club at Woodcreek in Elgin, South Carolina .

FIT is one of six Sunshine State Conference teams competing in the three-day, 54-hole event hosted by Newberry.

Joining the Panthers from the SSC are Barry, Saint Leo, Rollins, Nova Southeastern and Lynn.

Each super regional will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently with 12 teams and 6 individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site.

All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition.

The top three teams along with the top three individuals not with a team from each super regional will advance to the championships.

The 2017 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championships will be held May 17-20 at Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.

The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 72.
