U.S. Coast Guard 45-foot Response Boat-Medium Medevacs Man From NOAA Vessel

MAN suffering from MEDICAL complications
U.S. COAST GUARD – The Coast Guard medevaced a 40-year-old man Monday from a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration vessel approximately 12 miles west of Egmont Key.
Medevaced was Thomas Misner.
Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg Command Center watchstanders received a satellite phone call at 8:20 a.m. from the crew of the Nancy Foster, a 187-foot NOAA vessel, reporting a crewmember was suffering from complications due to a laceration that happened Saturday and was in need of advanced medical attention.
The watchstanders launched a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium (RBM) boatcrew from Coast Guard Station St. Petersburg.
The boatcrew arrived on scene at approximately 3:00 p.m. and transferred Misner to the RBM.
The rescue crew transported the man to Station St. Petersburg where awaiting emergency medical services transported him to Bay Front Medical Center for further care.
