City of Palm Bay Urges Residents to Remain Cautious in Advance of Hurricane Irma

The City of Palm Bay issued an advisory to residents to stay on alert until the threat of Hurricane Irma has passed.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay issued an advisory to residents to stay on alert until the threat of Hurricane Irma has passed.

“Although the storm’s track has shifted to the west, Brevard County remains under a Hurricane Warning, Storm Surge Warning and a Flood Watch,” city officials said in a release.

“This means residents should still expect to experience hurricane-force winds, heavy rains, the potential for flooding and possible tornadic activity. Please continue to exercise caution until the Irma has cleared our area.”

Rain and wind impact of the storm will start in Brevard County Saturday and into Saturday night.  The strongest wind will be felt in Central Florida overnight Sunday through midday Monday.
