SPACE COAST DAILY TV: The  Brevard Schools Foundation 2018 Applauding Brevard’s Champions (ABC) Awards were held Jan. 24 at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne, Florida.

SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Brandon T. Jenkins, the Band Director at Heritage High School won the 2017 ABC Brevard Schools teacher of the Year Wednesday night at the King Center. Space Coast Daily’s Alan Zlotorzynski had a unique opportunity to speak with him before and after he won.

SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Space Coast Daily’s Alan Zlotorzynski was on the Red Carpet with honorees at the Brevard Schools Foundation 2018 Applauding Brevard’s Champions (ABC) Awards, which is being held at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The  Brevard Schools Foundation 2018 Applauding Brevard’s Champions (ABC) Awards was held Wednesday, January 24 at the King Center for the Performing Arts, located at 3865 N. Wickham Road in Melbourne.

Each year, the Brevard Schools Foundation ABC Awards are the biggest educational event of the year.

In red carpet fashion, The ABC Awards showcase the outstanding contributions of those who help strengthen the quality of public education in Brevard County, including Teacher of the Year, Employee of the Year, Volunteers of the Year, Business Partners of Distinction and Administrators of the Year.

Honorees from each school and other guests are treated to a reception featuring A Taste of Brevard Public Schools Culinary Arts Programs and live entertainment on the mainstage of the King Center.

Sponsorships support these special recognitions and provide a way to say thank you to those in service to our children.

The ABC Awards Gala, presented by Community Credit Union and hosted by Brevard Schools Foundation, is held in January of each year at the King Center for Performing Arts in Melbourne.

During the gala, Brevard Public Schools recognizes and reveals the winners of various categories including:

  • Senior Volunteer of the Year
