Viera High’s Maddie Day Wins Florida Region of USA Volleyball Scholarship Award

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Viera High School’s Maddie Day was the recipient of the Molten For the Real Game Scholarship Award for outstanding academic and athletic excellence during Florida Region of USA Volleyball’s 17th Annual Region Awards Ceremony.

The awards event was held on Friday at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

The Region awarded more than $38,000 in college scholarships Friday night to Class of 2018 high school volleyball players from cities all across the state.

Day was also selected Viera High’s Class of 2018 Wendy’s High School Heisman Female School Winner, which recognizes the top student-athletes in the nation.

She will continue her volleyball career at Caldwell University in Caldwell, New Jersey, where she plans to major in Media and Communications. Caldwell is an NCAA Div II school and a member of the Central Atlantic College Conference.
