Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspect Who Held Up Taxi Driver At Wawa In Cocoa

Cocoa Police Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division are currently attempting to identify a suspect wanted for an armed robbery that occurred at Wawa in Cocoa last week.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division are attempting to identify a suspect wanted for an armed robbery that occurred at Wawa in Cocoa last week.

Police say the crime occurred on July 11 at 4:45 a.m. at the Wawa, located at 923 W. King Street.

According to police, the victim was on duty as a local cab driver when he says a man approached him inquiring about a ride.

According to the victim, the suspect had a knife or box cutter under his cell phone when he reached out and grabbed money inside the victim’s front left shirt pocket.

The victim described the suspect as a black male, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall, thin build, approximately 20-35 years old, dreads pulled back in a bun, beard and multiple tattoos on both arms.

The suspect was also wearing a red shirt, multi-colored patterned shorts, red shoes and a black beanie hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477). Callers will remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 in this case.
