Elizabeth Traynor Bayard of Cape Canaveral Passed Away Aug. 31 at the Age of 93

Elizabeth Traynor Bayard of Cape Canaveral passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018, at the age of 93. Elizabeth was born in Summit, New Jersey but was a long time resident of Cape Canaveral for over 49 years.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Elizabeth Traynor Bayard of Cape Canaveral passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018, at the age of 93.

Elizabeth was born in Summit, New Jersey but was a long time resident of Cape Canaveral for over 49 years.

One of her greatest joys was working for Carnival Cruise Lines for over 15 years, as well as taking many cruises herself. Elizabeth’s mother was born in Dublin, Ireland and taught Elizabeth to be extremely proud of her Irish heritage, she would most likely be seen wearing her green beads daily.

Elizabeth is survived by her four daughters, Patricia Patnaude of Cape Canaveral, Gail Villiotis (Jimmy) of Cocoa Beach, Elizabeth Rossette-Andermann (Eric) of Melbourne and Jacqueline Bayard of Cape Canaveral; sisters, Mary Lanzara, Eileen Grimm, Ann Traynor, Kathleen (Gary) Grimm; brother Richard (Pat) Traynor. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Traynor; husband Glenn McCoy Bayard; brothers, Jack and Robert; grandson Adam and son-in-law David.

A service will be held Monday, September 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviours Catholic Church, located at 5301 N. Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach. Arrangements are by Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care in Rockledge.
