Florida Tech Men’s Swimming Finishes 2nd at Panther Invitational

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On Sunday, the Panthers concluded another successful Panther Invitational.

Florida Tech women finished fourth in the standings with 502 points. West Florida won the team title with 985.5 points, followed by North Florida with 821 points. Florida Southern finished the event in third with 639.5 points.

The Panther man concluded the Panther Invitational in second place with 374 points. Florida Southern won title with 441 points and in third was Rollins with 106 points.

In the men 200 yard backstroke Ferron Van Ritter took second with a time of 1:57.08. Two spots behind was Lukas Burchianti who recorded a time of 2:00.66.

Victor Rocha Furtado won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 43.23 more than a second faster than his prelim time. In second, was Emanuele Rossi with a time of 45.31.

Adi Davidov finished second in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:50.14 a full second faster than his prelim time.

In the 4oo yard freestyle relay the Panthers finished first with a time of 2:58.97. The relay was form by Filip Dujmic, Harry Sale, Rossi and Furtado.

On the women’s side, Teresa Rago finished second in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 18:39.28.

In the 400 yard freestyle relay, Florida Tech finished fourth place with a time of 3:33.34. The relay was form by Savannah Brennan, Kennedy Nolan, Carter Juskevich and Valentina Carvajal.
