Florida Tech’s Raul Quintero Named to Baseball DII Preseason All-South Region Second Team

Panthers open season at home against North Georgia
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On January 23, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released the Division II Preseason All-South Region Teams. Junior Infielder Raul Quintero was named NCBAWA All-South Region Second Team.
In 2018, Quintero started 48 games in which recorded an impressive .313 batting average on 196 at-bats second to senior Jacob Buser (.316).
The infielder tallied 55 hits, nine doubles, three home runs and 28 runs batted in.
”Offensively, Quintero is a big part of our offense and a huge part of what we are trying to get accomplished this season. As a returner, he is going to be key for us.”
The Panthers open their season at home against North Georgia. The game is set for a 6 p.m. start on Friday, February 1.
