Titusville Police Arrest 15-Year-Old Suspect in Connection With Citywide Crime Spree

According to Titusville Police PIO Amy Matthews, a 15-year-old Titusville male was arrested on Thursday and charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, two counts of Grand Theft, three counts of Burglary and three counts of Criminal Mischief.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police officers have arrested a teenager in connection with a citywide crime spree of local businesses and a home.

According to Titusville Police PIO Amy Matthews, a 15-year-old Titusville male was arrested on Thursday and charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, two counts of Grand Theft, three counts of Burglary and three counts of Criminal Mischief.

Space Coast Daily does not identify suspects under the age of 18.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect burglarized and vandalized Pat Fisher Nissan, located at 1128 South Hopkins Avenue on March 24, 2019,” said Matthews.

“On April 22 2019, the suspect stole a blue Honda Odyssey Van from the parking area of Cumberland Farms convenience store, located at 10 North Hopkins Avenue.”

Matthews said that on April 2 the stolen van was located by police in the garage of a vacant home, located at 3544 Canon Court, which had been vandalized by the suspect and was being used as a place to hide stolen property.

In addition, the suspect burglarized and vandalized Snider’s Auto Center, located at 990 South Washington Avenue on May 3.

“Detective’s investigative interviews and the crime scene evidence determined that the suspect was responsible for the crimes,” said Matthews.

The suspect was delivered to the Department of Juvenile Justice’s Juvenile Detention Center.
