National Hurricane Continues To Monitor Tropical Wave In Caribbean, Draws Closer To Puerto Rico
By Space Coast Daily // July 29, 2019
20-percent chance of further development in next 5 days

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center is continuing to closely monitor a tropical wave that developed on Sunday that could bring heavy rain and potential flooding to Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico in the next couple of days.
Experts are projecting the tropical wave to impact Florida and has a 20-percent chance to develop into a tropical storm by the end of the week.
Further development of the disturbance isn’t likely due to it passing over land mass too soon in its development, which halts the storm’s ability to build up strength.
National Hurricane Center warns that Florida could still be impacted.
“Conditions could be a little more conducive for tropical cyclone formation when the system reaches the the Florida Straits or the Bahamas over the weekend,” according to the National Hurricane Center.
