BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – In the latest edition of ‘Riding Shotgun’, Sheriff Wayne Ivey highlights Deputy Gaston Robin as he patrols the Cape Canaveral precinct.

Deputy Robin previously served in the Navy as a Sonar Technician before he retired and became Port Canaveral Maritime officer.

He then joined Brevard County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff.

“I always call Cape Canaveral the hidden gem of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office,” said Deputy Robin.

“There’s a lot of bars, restaurants, boat docks and shipping facilities so many people walking around. Even at 3 a.m., people will be walking around like it’s 3 p.m. so we got to keep people safe out here.”

Sheriff Ivey commended Deputy Robin on his work to combat illegal activity in the area.
