Brevard Public Schools Reopen Today After Hurricane Dorian, Will Remain Early-Release Day

Schools have been closed since Monday

Brevard Public Schools will reopen on Friday after Hurricane Dorian closed this week’s classes.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools will reopen on Friday after Hurricane Dorian closed this week’s classes.

The closure began on Monday and remain closed through Thursday, including all after-school activities.

BPS staff was notified in Tuesday’s update to that all BPS schools would reopen Friday and will remain an early-release day.

As a result of Hurricane Dorian, BPS had to deep-clean schools used as shelters and check all campuses for functional air-conditioning.

Staff training sessions at district headquarters in Viera were also postponed this week, with notices sent to enrollees.
