BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – With hurricane season heating up, National Hurricane Center is currently monitoring a staggering five tropical systems in the Atlantic on Thursday.

After Hurricane Dorian narrowly missed a direct hit on Florida’s Space Coast, experts at the National Hurricane are keeping an eye on another disturbance that has developed off the coast of Africa, around 100 miles east of the Cabo Verde Islands, that has a 60-percent chance of becoming a tropical depression in five days.

National Hurricane Center says they expect the disturbance to gradually develop as it moves westward across the tropical Atlantic Ocean through early next week.
