BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Tonya Smith, who was the featured target two weeks ago on “Wheel of Fugitive,” did the right thing on Wednesday by turning herself in at the Brevard County Jail and working to get this chapter of her life behind her.

Ms. Smith took the first step in getting her life back in order after she was encouraged to do so by her mom who actually gave her a ride to the Brevard County Jail where our team took her into custody.

Ms. Smith knew that she had been featured on “Wheel of Fugitive” and cooperated fully with our Fugitive Agents so that she can try to get her charges behind her.

Ms. Smith had two felony warrants for Violation of Probation reference Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Dealing in Stolen Property with False Verification.

Please join me in commending Ms. Smith for taking the first step in getting her life back in order and also in wishing her well in starting the next chapter of her life.

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
