Shawn McGraw, 46, of Cocoa Beach Sustains Fatal Gunshot Wound at Fawlty Towers Motel

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Cocoa Beach police officers responded to the Fawlty Towers Motel in Cocoa Beach on Tuesday night about 8:15 p.m. and a discovered a man had suffered a gunshot wound.
Shawn M. McGraw, 46, of the Cocoa Beach area, sustained a fatal gunshot wound inside a room at the Fawlty Towers Motel, located at 100 E. Cocoa Beach Causeway, according to Cocoa Beach Police Sgt. Manny Hernandez.
“Cocoa Beach police and fire arrived on-scene following a call to the Communications Center and found McGraw, who was a guest at the motel, unresponsive,” said Sgt. Hernandez.
“McGraw succumbed to his injuries shortly after transport to a local hospital.”
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the search for suspects, and further processed the crime scene while Cocoa Beach police investigators followed leads and conducted interviews throughout the night.
“This incident is believed to be isolated and associated with criminal activity,” said Sgt. Hernandez.
Sgt. Hernandez said that possible suspect information will not be released at this time to maintain the integrity of the investigation and this case remains active and ongoing.
