Why Drugs Are Not an Option
By Space Coast Daily // November 22, 2019
Drugs have been used to relieve pain and prevent problems for years. But, since the beginning of the 1960s, the use of drugs has been a widespread phenomenon.
This was rare before this time. It was in this decade that drugs spread globally. A large percentage of the human population started using drugs.
The drugs referred to in this case include opium, marijuana, amphetamines, peyote, cocaine, LSD, angel dust, and tranquilizers.
These are some of the worst drugs. Medical drugs or prescription medications and alcohol are also included. These drugs have different slang terms and trade names.
Although these drugs are made to yield wonderful results after use, they have ruined the lives of many people.
Long-Term Effects of Drugs
The majority of problems caused by drugs last longer even after a person can find free hotlines numbers and gets help to quit taking them.
That’s because most drugs cause accumulated effects that leave a person severely impaired mentally and physically. Even after an individual goes for years without using drugs, they still have “blank periods”.
Some of the most common effects of drugs include:
- Inability to concentrate
- Inability to learn
- Inability to work
Drugs can simply shatter the life of a person. Unfortunately, people still take drugs despite their liabilities and dangers being documented increasingly and blatantly obvious.
Why People Take Drugs Knowing their Liabilities and Dangers
When individuals are in pain or depressed, conventional treatment may not provide physical relief. In that case, they discover drugs that they can use to deal with their symptoms.
Research has shown that addictive substances act on the reward systems of the brain. This is true for psychosomatic pains. Psychosomatic means that the mind makes the body sick or the illnesses are caused by the mind. “Psycho” means to “mind” while “soma” means “body”.
For almost every psychosomatic illness, pain, or discomfort, a person has some kind of cure. And, when a person gets this cure, it means the drug has provided relief or reward.
That’s why a person can end up surrendering to the drug and eventually become dependent on it. This mostly leads to addiction.
If a person could have gotten another way out, they would have chosen it. But because there is no cure for their condition and they have “imaginary” pains, life becomes unsupportable. This increases their risk of becoming chronic users of the drug. Their risk of becoming addicts also increases.
Of course, the time a person takes to become an addict varies. Compliant can be just “weariness” or “sadness”. But, a person’s ability to face real life is generally reduced. This can include the ability to decide to call a drug addiction hotline to seek assistance.
Drug Addiction is a Widespread Issue
A person that needs relief from some sort of pain can welcome any substance as long as it brings it. They settle for anything that makes their life bearable or less of a burden mentally or physically. Psychosomatic illness is widespread in insecure and unsettled environments.
Therefore, before the government strike heavily at the spread of drug use, recognizing that the phenomenon is a symptom of psychotherapy failure is important. Social scientists, psychiatrists, health ministers, and psychologists have failed to deal with the spread of psychosomatic illness.
The drug abuse problem can easily be blamed on modern society’s pace or social unrest. But, the solid, hard fact is that no effective psychotherapy has been practiced broadly so far. This has led to a drug-dependent population.
Research has shown that some people start using drugs due to hopelessness or physical suffering. Environmental hopelessness and pain are some of the factors that drive some people to continue taking drugs. Even when some people don’t want to develop an addiction to a drug, they may not feel like there is another way out.
Treatment for Drug Addiction
Deciding to call an addiction helpline is not easy. A person must acknowledge the drug dependency problem and decide to seek assistance. And, with the right treatment, drug addiction can be handled fully. Upon entering rehab, a person undergoes a detoxification process.
This can be painful for some people due to withdrawal symptoms. Some of these symptoms are life-threatening. That’s why it’s recommended that individuals undergo detoxification at a rehab where they are monitored closely by medical professionals.
Detoxification can be followed by counseling and therapies whose aim is to identify the root causes of the addiction problem. Recovering addicts are also equipped with coping skills. Aftercare support is also provided once a person leaves rehab to join the community.
For a long time, psychiatry has considered drug addiction unimportant. Psychiatrists have also not given the drug-taking social problem the attention it deserves. Instead, they introduced and even popularized LSD. And, the majority of them are pushers.
Although they have tried, most government agencies have markedly failed to stop the increasing drug-taking trend. What’s more, they have not introduced a widespread or real cure. That’s why many people call private rehab hotline numbers when they need help with addiction.
The drug user liability, even after quitting their use of drugs, is going blank unexpectedly. These individuals have irresponsibility moments and they get sick with ease.
Science has come up with ways of eradicating the damage done on individuals by addictive drugs. Today, there are ways of reversing or treating the damage done by drugs that cause unwanted and unnecessary addiction.
The good thing about science is that it’s not interested in the social or political aspects of different categories of drugs or drug-taking. However, drugs pose a serious, growing threat to spiritual and mental advancement. Dealing with this threat is the true mission of science.
Science, therefore, contains the exact technology that can get a person off the drugs painlessly while handling their mental, physical, and spiritual effects. It can also locate and revolve the underlying reasons for taking drugs.
All that a person with a drug-taking and dependency problem needs to do is call rehab to get guidance and the help they need to quit and recover from their addiction.
