Eastern Florida Baseball Gets Regular Season Started Today at Bruce Bochy Field

Friday's game will begin at 5 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field and admission is free.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College baseball team will open the new season Friday at 5 p.m., hosting St. Johns River State College at Bruce Bochy Field.

The Titans are coming off a 31-win season and return six key players as they look to build on last season’s success.

Rafael Acosta will get the start for the Titans. Last season the sophomore from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic made 13 appearances with a 2.89 ERA.

Sophomore Alejandro Rodriguez will be one of the leaders offensively after playing in 48 games last season, hitting .328.

St. Johns River was 37-19 last season and will send sophomore Michael Rosario to the mound. Last season Rosario made three starts for the Vikings.

Offensively the team will be led by sophomore Ryan Romano who hit.292 as a freshman infielder.

Friday’s game will begin at 5 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field and admission is free.
