BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Sophomore Skye Williams stepped to the free-throw line with 3.4 seconds left and drained both free throws to help the Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team to an 83-82 Suncoast Conference victory over St. Petersburg.

Williams finished with 18 points, none bigger than the final two free throws as the Titans improved to 15-4 overall and 1-0 in the conference Saturday afternoon at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.

St. Petersburg rallied from a nine-point deficit late in the fourth quarter to take the lead on a Bailee Taft 3-pointer with 9.8 seconds.

From there, Williams took over, driving to the basket and getting fouled with 3.4 seconds left in the game. It is the sixth straight game the Indianapolis Indiana native has scored at least 14 for the Titans.

Up just three points at halftime, Anja Knoflach found her range in the third quarter, hitting two 3-pointers and scored 12 points in the quarter as the Titans finished the third up 11 points, 68-57.

St. Petersburg was led by Deshari Graham who finished with a game-high 24 points.

The Titans will travel to Hillsborough Community College on Wednesday for a conference game before hosting Florida Southwestern State College Saturday at 2 p.m.
