BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Crossing Guard Coordinator Janene Romero has been honored as the City of Melbourne Employee of the Month.

City of Melbourne officials said that Romero Janene is truly an asset to their Department and the City of Melbourne.

“Janene efficiently managed staffing during a challenging month of unforeseen vacancies due to bereavement, jury duty and illness,” said officials on social media.

“Most of the vacancies were covered by Janene without hesitation and with a positive attitude. In addition to her Coordinator’s responsibility, she is a very active volunteer for the police department. Janene’s kind and loving heart spread goodwill to those she touches.
