Publix Supermarkets Announces it Will Begin Closing at 8 p.m. Until Further Notice

Publix Supermarkets officials announced Friday evening they will close at 8 p.m. beginning Saturday until further notice. The company operates 809 stores in Florida and a total of 1,243 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.

LAKELAND, FLORIDA – Publix Supermarkets officials announced Friday evening they will close at 8 p.m. beginning Saturday until further notice.

This following statement was released by the company:

“To better serve our customers, give our store teams time to conduct additional preventive sanitation and restock product on shelves, beginning Saturday, March 14, Publix will adjust store and pharmacy hours companywide to close at 8 p.m. until further notice.”

The company operates 20 stores in Brevard and a total of 1,243 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
