Melbourne Woman Arrested for Attempted Second-Degree Murder After Shooting

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police have arrested 20-year-old Aquayja Shadai Nicole Osbourne from Melbourne for attempted second-degree murder after a shooting last week.
Police say they responded to a call involving a victim who had been shot at the intersection of W. H. Jackson Street and Lipscomb Street on April 21 around 3:40 p.m.
After arriving on scene, police officers discovered the victim was taken to a nearby hospital by a Good Samaritan.
After police met the victim at the hospital, they found out the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
During the investigation, police were able to team up with Brevard County Sheriff’s Office GAMEOVER Task Force to locate the suspect identified as Aquayja Shadai Nicole Osbourne where she was taken into custody in the parking lot of Shull Manor Apartments in Melbourne.
Authorities arrested her Attempted Second-Degree Murder with a Firearm where she currently sits in the Brevard County Jail with no bond.
