BREVARD COVID-19 UPDATE, May 16: Space Coast Reports 359 Coronavirus Cases, 10 Deaths

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County has reported 359 cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday afternoon, according to the Florida Department of Health.

According to the Florida Department of Health, the demographic breakdown of the age of those testing positive ranges from 1 to 94, with the median age being 53 years of age, and 49 percent are male and 51 percent are female.

The current Brevard list includes 348 Florida residents and 10 non-residents.

Brevard COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 51. Ten deaths have been reported as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County, including six since April 12.

The Florida Department of Health reports 13,955 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to Saturday’s report, 13,592 of those tests have come back negative.

The Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 44,811 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state with 8,146 hospitalized.

Saturday’s report also shows 630,795 people in Florida have been tested for COVID-19,

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 1,964 as of Saturday.

In the U.S., 1,456,841 confirmed cases have been reported and 88,230 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 4,605,673 with 310,180 global deaths.
