Rising Tide Tap & Table in Port Canaveral Temporarily Closes Due to COVID-19, Plans to Reopen Soon

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The owners at Rising Tide Tap & Table in Port Canaveral announced on Wednesday that they would be temporarily closing due to ‘recent high levels of coronavirus activity’ in the area.
“Due to the continued high levels of Coronavirus activity in our area and out of concern of the impact its having on the wellbeing of our employees and customers, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close RISING TIDE. We will re-open when we are confident in the safety of ALL (guests and staff alike),” said Rising Tide in a released statement over Facebook.
The announcement comes after restaurants were allowed to reopen in mid-May as part of Gov. Ron DeSantis Phase 1 reopening plan since the Coronavirus shutdown in mid-March.
Since then, Florida moved into Phase 2 on June 5, which included bars and pubs to reopen at 50% capacity inside and full capacity outside.
Due to a higher testing volume, positive cases for COVID-19 have been increasing over the last two weeks. As a result of higher trend in positive cases, Gov. DeSantis has said publicly that he is holding off on entering into Phase 3, the final phase, which would return all business functions back to normal operations.
