Eastern Florida State Men’s Golf Team in Fourth After Two Rounds at 2020 Innisbrook Invitational

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team is in fourth place after the first two rounds of the 2020 Invite at Innisbrook in Palm Harbor.

The Titans opened the fall season with a 293 but shot a 304 in the second round and is two strokes behind third-place Keiser University heading into the final round on Tuesday.

Host Dalton State is leading the tournament after shooting a 285 in the afternoon session. Wayland Baptist is two strokes behind Dalton State and in second place.

Freshman Matt Gauntlett shot 1-under in the first round and is fifth overall at 3-over in his first tournament as a Titan. Sophomore Thomas Matthews is tied for 10th at six-over-par.

“The Copperhead course at Innisbrook is an awesome test and everyone struggled to some degree,” Eastern Florida State College men’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

The final round of the tournament will be Tuesday morning.
