Pedestrian Killed in Traffic Crash at South Hopkins Avenue and Garden Street in Titusville

POLICE: adult female stepped into the roadway and was struck by a pickup truck

Titusville police officers responded to a fatal vehicle crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of South Hopkins Avenue and Garden Street at approximately 9:40 p.m. on Sunday.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police officers responded to a fatal vehicle crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of South Hopkins Avenue and Garden Street at approximately 9:40 p.m. on Sunday.

“The preliminary investigation revealed an adult female stepped into the roadway and was struck by a black 2016 Nissan Frontier truck, traveling southbound on South Hopkins Avenue, driven by a 17-year-old licensed driver,” said Titusville police spokesperson Amy Matthews.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased at 10:20 p.m. Sunday

Matthews said there were no other injuries and no charges have been filed at this time.

This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department.
