BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Grandparents Raising Grandchildren of Brevard County Florida held their “Out Of This World” Golf Tournament on March 7 at Turtle Creek Golf Club in Rockledge.

More than 60 golfers on 18 teams came out for this Space-Themed event that will become the annual springtime fundraiser for this agency.

The tournament was modeled after their fall “Child First” Golf Tournament but given the “Space Coast” twist.

Fast pass registration meant the golfers prepaid for their Mulligan/Putting Contest Certificate and a 50/50 chance along with their tournament fees so they could avoid a line at the morning check-in and proceed to the breakfast table.

The tournament included a few challenges by Dixon Golf plus a Hole-In-One challenge to win a beautiful golf cart by GolfCarts Unlimited.

Prizes provided by Turtle Creek Golf Club along with Spaceman trophies were awarded to the top three teams along with the winner of a putting contest, longest drive and closest to the pin.

Lunch was provided by Twisted Birch Sports Bar and Grill giving the golfers the option to leave or fill up the socially distanced tables. Tournament awards followed the Silent Auction and door prize giveaways.

With a Space Theme, each golfer received our signature “Loaded Mug” with a fun assortment of “Out Of This World” items as our way to say “everyone is a winner that plays in our tournament”!

“Our vision is that one day all children will live in a safe loving home with relatives that will help them to develop into their full potential. Living in a place you can call home and knowing that someone will always be there for you is something everyone needs, especially children.”
