Titusville Woman Arrested On DUI, Eluding Police After Claiming She Left Baby at Publix

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police arrested a 41-year-old woman over the weekend for DUI, fleeing police, possession of heroin and reckless driving after she claimed she left her baby at Publix.

Police say Jessica Lawton was never at the Publix and her infant child was at home, according to the investigation.

After failing multiple sobriety tests, police also discovered a syringe and Fentanyl inside her vehicle when she was arrested.

Lawton is no stranger to authorities in Brevard as her criminal record dates back to 2016 with charges varying from Driving with a Suspended License, Battery Domestic Violence, Reckless Driving and DUI.
