UPDATE: Two Motorcyclists Killed on US-1 in Titusville Identified as 47-Year-Old Man, 50-Year-Old Woman

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have released the identities of the two motorcyclists killed in a fatal crash Sunday afternoon at the intersection of North Washington Avenue (US-1) and the entrance of Parrish Medical Center.
The individuals killed in the crash have been identified as Gerald James Muoio, 47, from Titusville, and Laura Ellen Sharkey, 50, from Titusville.
The investigation has revealed that a motorcycle driven by Muoio was riding with Sharkey, who was a passenger. As the two traveled north on US-1, the motorcycle struck the driver’s side of BMW SUV as the SUV attempted a left turn from the Parrish Medical Center parking lot onto southbound North Washington Avenue.
Muoio was pronounced dead at the scene, while Sharkey was transported to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The adult female driver of the BMW SUV was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department.
