Baltimore Orioles Pick Former Eau Gallie Standout Jacob Teter 377th Overall in MLB Draft

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Baltimore Orioles have selected former Eau Gallie Commodore Jacob Teter 377th overall in round 13 of the MLB Draft.

A 2017 graduate of Eau Gallie High School, Teter was named to first-team all Cape Coast Conference three times and helped the Commodores win three district titles. During his prep career, he led the Cape Coast Conference with 9 home runs and 35 runs batted in.

Teter finished his senior season at Eau Gallie with a 26-4 and was a recipient of the school’s Random Acts of Kindness Scholarship and Distinguished Athlete Award.

As a Senior at Florida Southern, Teter was named to the 2021 NCAA Division II All-Region Second Team by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

The first baseman started in 17 games in 2021, recording a .377 batting average with seven home runs and 15 RBIs.

During his Junior year at Florida Southern, Teter started all 22 team games and was tied for the Sunshine State Conference lead in home runs with seven.

He led the SSC in walks with 23, led the team and was eighth in the SSC in OBP at .485, was second in the conference in putouts with 168, led the team with 18 RBI, 19 runs and 47 total bases.
