OBITUARY: U.S. Navy Veteran Frank Anthony Barnao, 86, of Titusville, Passes Away July 19

Frank Anthony Barnao, 86, died Monday, July 19 at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and came to Titusville in the 1970s. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and in New York, worked at the family business, Vincent’s Market Italian Deli and Grocery.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Frank Anthony Barnao, 86, died Monday, July 19, 2021, at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville. Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY, and came to Titusville in the 1970s. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In New York, he worked at the family business Vincent’s Market Italian Deli and Grocery.

Frank was a professional singer in his youth and was featured on local radio stations and concerts. It was after a concert that he met his wife Mary Ann.

He continued to sing at weddings and other special events throughout his life. After coming to Titusville he worked for Childress Construction as a foreman where he built several neighborhoods in the area.

He then owned and operated Frankie’s Lawn Service until he retired. Frank was an usher at St. Teresa Catholic Church for over 30 years. He was the president of the Italian American Club and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. Frank loved hunting, fishing, and sports. Especially the Yankees and the Rangers.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Mary Ann, and his daughters Joanie Mixon and Susanne Matthews. He is survived by his children Rosanne Golden and her husband Steve of Cocoa, Nancy Erb of Titusville, Frank Jr. and his wife Sabrina of Titusville, Marie Stirling and her husband Michael of Titusville, Laura Barnao of New York, NY, Anthony Barnao and his wife Hien of Port St. John, Francine Drabik and her husband Brett of Titusville and his ex-daughter-in-law Cerra Barnao.

A visitation was held on July 22 at North Brevard Funeral Home and a funeral mass was celebrated on July 23, St. Teresa Catholic Church.
