BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Viera Hawks star defensive lineman Jamari Lyons committed to the University of Florida on Wednesday evening on Space Coast Daily TV.

Lyons had over 20 Division I offers.

He narrowed his selection to two schools, the University of Florida and the University of South Carolina.

The 4-star Lyons has terrorized opponents throughout his career, posting 35 sacks and 60 tackles for loss in 32 varsity games.

According to 247Sports, Lyons is ranked as the nation’s No. 30 defensive lineman in the class of 2022 as Lyons has accounted for 10 sacks and 51 total tackles through five games.
