BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Six Brevard County non-profits received a boost from Boeing to benefit programs assisting local families and veterans.
The Florida Space Coast Operations chapter of the Boeing Employee Community Fund recently donated $50,000 raised from employee contributions. Financial aid means more food and housing assistance, child care, wage replacement, health care and other vital services on the Space Coast.
The local organizations that received ECF grants include:
■ The Children’s Hunger Project, $10,000
■ Crosswinds Youth Services, Inc., $5,000
■ Family Promise of Brevard, Inc., $5,000
■ National Veterans Homeless Support, $5,000
■ South Brevard Women’s Services, $5,000
■ Promises, Inc., $5,000
The remaining $15,000 went to the Boeing ECF Disaster Relief Fund, which provided assistance to employees who were directly impacted by Hurricane Ida last August.
The company-wide ECF has funded more than $1 billion to local communities across the United States since 1948. With 20 chapters across Boeing, each is managed by local teammates who provide grants based on the needs of their communities.
