Cocoa Beach Police Department to Hold Free Youth Fishing Clinic on Saturday, November 13

Event set for 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The Cocoa Beach Police Department, Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission and the U.S. Coast Guard will hold a free youth fishing clinic on Saturday, November 13 at the Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center Pavilion. (CBPD image)

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Beach Police Department, Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission and the U.S. Coast Guard will hold a free youth fishing clinic on Saturday, November 13 at the Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center Pavilion. 

CLICK HERE to register your child, age 5-15, for one of the two-time slots at 8:30 a.m or 11 a.m.

Fishing poles and tackle will be provided.

The primary goal of this program is to create responsible marine resource stewards by teaching children about Florida’s marine ecosystems.

Learn how to safely cast and bait the hook, tie knots, learn the types of fish, fish habits, regulations, and other helpful tips.

The clinic is perfect for first-timers or novice fishers.
