Pedestrian Suffers Life Threatening Injuries After Being Struck by Vehicle on US-1 in Titusville

The Titusville Police Department responded to the scene of a crash that involved a pedestrian who was struck by a car while walking northbound on South Washington Avenue (US-1) at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 15).

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Titusville Police Department responded to the scene of a crash that involved a pedestrian who was struck by a car while walking northbound on South Washington Avenue (US-1) at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 15).

“The preliminary investigation revealed an adult male was walking in the northbound lane of US-1 just north of the exit ramp for State Road 405,” said Titusville Police Department’s Amy Matthews.

“The pedestrian was struck from behind by a 2015 red Toyota Corolla driven by Alexandra F. Herbert, 20, of Rockledge.”

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police say.

The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released by police.

The crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion.
