Railroad Crossing at State Road 520/King Street in Cocoa Will Close Feb. 6 to 16 for Brightline Crossing Upgrades

railroad crossing will begin on 7 a.m. Sunday, February 6 to 7 p.m. until Wednesday, February 16.
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The railroad crossing at State Road 520/King Street in Cocoa will close at 7 a.m., Sunday, February 6 and will remain closed until 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 16.
The closure is necessary while Brightline completes railroad crossing upgrades as part of the Orlando extension project, connecting South Florida to Orlando International Airport.
Motorists should proceed with extra caution through work zones and adhere to posted detour signs, speed limits and other signage. Additional railroad construction information can be found on the Brightline website.

■ 7 a.m. Sunday, February 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 16.
Detour Information
■ Eastbound SR 520/King St. traffic will be directed to travel south on Fiske Blvd. to Barton Blvd., travel east on Barton Blvd to US 1, and travel north on US 1 to access SR 520/King St.
■ Westbound SR 520/King St. traffic will be directed to travel south on US 1 to Barton Blvd., travel west on Dixon Blvd. to Fiske Blvd., and travel north on Fiske Blvd. to access SR 520/King St.
Truck Route Detour Information
■ Eastbound SR 520/King St. truck traffic will be directed to travel north on Fiske Blvd. to Dixon Blvd., travel east on Dixon Blvd to US 1, and travel south on US 1 to access SR 520/King St.
■ Westbound SR 520/King St. truck traffic will be directed to travel north on US 1 to Dixon Blvd., travel west on Dixon Blvd. to Fiske Blvd., and travel south on Fiske Blvd. to access SR 520/King St.
