OBITUARY: Joan Patricia Wilson, 91, of Cocoa, Passed Away Peacefully on March 1

In 1950, Joan married the love of her life Willard Wilson II
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Joan Patricia Wilson, 91, died peacefully, March 1, 2022. Born September 5, 1930, to Ethel Patricia and John Lawrence Hults, she grew up in Warren, Ohio with her 4 sisters (Betty, Peggy, Sue, and Marcia).
In 1950, she married the love of her life Willard Wilson II. Relocating to Cocoa Beach, they continued the family business, Wilmar Pastry Shop, in downtown Cocoa.
Settling in Rockledge, they raised 4 sons and flourished with their catering business. Blessed with a servant’s heart, Pat volunteered as a Pink Lady at Wuestoff Hospital, as a founding member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Rockledge and Cocoa-Rockledge Garden Club.
In 1985, Willard and Pat retired to Gatlinburg, Tennessee where they built their Smokie Mountain dream home and traveled the world until returning to Viera in 2002.
Pat will be remembered for her Christian faith and graceful, kind personality, her love of family and friends, and her talents of professional cake decorating, cooking, cross-stitch, gardening, and ceramics.
Survived by sons: Willard III (Penny) of Cocoa, Larry (Kim) of Cocoa, Bob (Peggy) of Rockledge, and Jim (Debbie) of Campbell, CA.
Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister Sue Mickelakis, brother-in-law Bob Wilson, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Faith Viera Lutheran Church on 5550 Faith Drive, Rockledge, FL 32955.
