Florida Tech Baseball Players Dyaln Owens, Sam Schner Earn All-Sunshine State Conference Honors

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Sunshine State Conference announced the 2022 baseball All-SSC Teams Monday afternoon.
Two Panthers collected All-SSC honors for their outstanding performance during the 2022 season.
Florida Tech’s Dylan Owens was named to the All-SSC Second Team and the All-SSC Defensive Team. Sam Schner was named to the All-SSC Defensive Team.
Receiving his first All-SSC recognition, Owens finished the 2022 season with a .331 batting average, acquiring 56 hits, 10 doubles, three triples, three home runs, and 30 RBI.
The redshirt senior from Viera, Fla. caught 19 runners stealing, being named the leader in the Sunshine State Conference for the 2022 season. Dylan Owens finished sixth in the SSC with 296 putouts.
Sam Schner earned his second All-SSC Defensive Team honor.
The sophomore from Boca Raton, Fla. completed the 2022 season with a .318 batting average. Schner acquired 54 hits, six doubles, two triples, and 32 RBI on the season. Defensively, Sam had 119 putouts, one assist, no errors, for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
