Dr. Lesser’s work is based on the anti-aging philosophy of biologist Dr. David Sinclair and his Sinclair Lab at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Sinclair has paved the way for a greater understanding of the aging process and how it need not be considered an inevitable part of living long.

“For years, he has been screaming at doctors to treat aging as a disease,” said Dr. Lesser. “The vast majority of diseases happen because of the aging process.”

Portions of the protocol used by Essentials had been previously tested in twin mice by Dr. Sinclair. Identical twin mice were used in the research, with the mice that received the protocol showing a marked improvement in both appearance and health than its non-treated twin, which significantly displayed physical effects of aging, such as gray hair and muscle loss.

For two years, Dr. Lesser has collected both exhaustive subjective and objective data from individuals who have gone through the Day Zero Therapeutics protocol. One of the subjects in the research is Dr. Lesser himself.

“I always experiment on myself first,” he said.

The protocol is named after a baby’s first day and what happens after.

“Babies grow superfast and with low anti-inflammatory issues,” said Dr. Lesser.

With Day Zero, Dr. Lesser zeroed in on the beneficial growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines found in stem cells.

“They offer an aggressive attack on various aspects of the aging process,” he explained.

Participants receive three intravenous injections spaced a month apart. Comprehensive testing and bloodwork form part of the protocol.

Independent laboratory research on the subjects in the initial study subsequently revealed an impressive 31 percent reduction in the DNA age index, the comparison of an individual’s chronological age versus the actual DNA age. As a bonus, test subjects experienced up to 300 percent improvement in muscle and joint pain caused by arthritis and saw energy levels increase by 33 percent and sexual functioning by 22 percent.

Clients also noted that others were noticing the changes.

“Forty-five percent had third party observations of a change in them,” said Dr. Lesser.

Side effects are minimal and bloodwork at the end of the protocol showed no adverse effects on clients, making the treatment even more attractive.
With such promising results, Dr. Lesser has opened Day Zero Therapeutics to clients eager to turn back the clock. The protocol is aimed at individuals in the 30-to-65 age bracket eager to stave off age-related issues such as arthritis.

“You want to start sooner rather than later, because the impact is greater,” said Dr. Lesser.
