Florida Tech Promotes Christina Hardman to Associate Athletic Director for Communications

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech Director of Athletics Jamie Joss has announced Christina Hardman’s promotion to Associate Athletic Director for Communications.

Hardman transitions into this role after serving as the Assistant Director of Communications since joining Florida Tech in August 2021. Over the past year, she has been the primary contact for men’s soccer, women’s basketball, and softball.

In her new role, she will serve as a Florida Tech athletics leadership team member.

Hardman will lead the development, implementation, and management of the public relations strategy for Florida Tech’s 12 varsity athletic teams.

She will supervise the communications staff and student employees, manage the communications budget, coordinate all live video streaming production and social media development, produce all athletic department digital and print assets, and coordinate and compile all historical data.

“I have had the pleasure of Christina’s dedication to providing excellent athletic communications service to scholar-athletes, coaches, and fans for the past year at Florida Tech and her two years at West Liberty,” Joss said.

“She is a rising star in this industry. We are excited for the vision and commitment to elevate the scholar-athlete and fan experience in engaging with our athletic programs.”

Hardman will also work closely with the Assistant Director for Athletic Partnerships & Promotions and the Associate AD for Game Operations in developing the best possible experience for fans locally and worldwide.

Hardman is a 2019 graduate of Sacred Heart University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and Finance. She earned her Masters in Business Administration from West Liberty University in 2021.

Before arriving at Florida Tech, Hardman, a Johnston, Rhode Island native, was an Athletic Operations Specialist at West Liberty.

During her time at West Liberty, Hardman was the contact for all of the Hilltoppers sports teams, producing press releases, collecting and maintaining up-to-date statistics, promoting student-athletes and groups on social media and publications, and coordinating the streaming of game broadcasts.
