BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Space Coast Daily is sharing a new series called Health First Medical Minute, as Brevard’s largest health care provider continues to highlight and address important health concerns in our community. In this episode, Health First Medical Group’s Dr. Damani Hosey shares the importance of health screenings for African Americans.

A board-certified Family Practitioner, Dr. Hosey served his Residency at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach and completed his undergraduate, graduate and medical school degrees at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is licensed to practice medicine in Florida.

Dr. Hosey received recognition in 2011 for the delivery of Quality Diabetes Care by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The same year, he received recognition for providing excellent care to persons with cardiovascular disease or stroke from NCQA’s Heart/Stroke Recognition Program.

He enjoys biking, traveling, hiking, reading and current events – and  is an avid fan of University of Michigan athletics.
