Cybersec’s certification is boon to Space Coast businesses seeking work for the US Department of Defense

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Cybersec Investments announces its certification as the first and only Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 3rd Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO) on the Space Coast.

A cybersecurity consulting organization specializing in NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and DFARS compliance, Cybersec Investments received its “Authorization” status by the Cyber Accreditation Body (Cyber AB) on Friday.

Cybersec’s certification is a boon to Space Coast businesses seeking work or currently doing work for the US Department of Defense (DoD).

The certification allows Cybersec Investments to conduct CMMC assessments of contractors in the defense industrial base. A comprehensive framework established by the Department of Defense (DoD), the CMMC program creates a standard designed to protect the defense industrial base from increasingly frequent and complex cyberattacks.

All organizations planning to do business or currently doing business with the DoD will be required to undergo a CMMC third-party assessment, such as now offered by Cybersec Investments. This certification is required of all defense contractors processing, storing, or transmitting Controlled

Unclassified Information (CUI). Contractors failing to meet CMMC level 2 requirements will be barred from doing future business with or continuing to do business with the DoD.

With Cybersec Investments certification, local businesses engaging with the DoD can begin their process of meeting the CMMC requirements with a locally established business.
